Per l’occasione il comprensorio di Limone, Riva e Ledro sarà infatti chiamato a incornare i migliori corridori del cielo di questa  lunghissima stagione. In programma ben due finali della Skyrunner® World Series 2013: la prova di Vertical Kilometer in versione “by night” di venerdì, cui seguirà domenica mattina la SkyRace da 23.5km. A contorno di questi due spettacolari eventi, in scena nella formula open ovvero non riservati ai soli atleti nazionali, Franco Codogni e il suo staff hanno ideato una serie di eventi collaterali di sicuro appeal:

«Strizzando l’occhio ai giovani e con il preciso intento di richiamare un pubblico sempre più numeroso e variegato,  per domenica mattina abbiamo previsto diverse esibizioni con delle icone del freestyle italiano: il campione di slackline Lukas Huber e il vice campione italiano di bike trial Andrea Maranelli – ha confermato lo stesso Codogni -. In zona arrivo sarà inoltre allestito un vero e proprio expo con tutti i più prestigiosi brand  legati al mondo della montagna e non solo».

Insomma grandi campioni e non solo per un evento che ha catalizzato l’attenzione dei migliori interpreti della specialità, dei semplici appassionati e, ovviamente, dei media: «Venerdì alle 19 frontali accese e spettacolo assicurato il Vertical Kilometer e i suoi 1100 m di dislivello positivo in nemmeno 3 km di percorso. A gara conclusa gli atleti verranno riportati in zona partenza per pasta party, premiazione e grande festa a suon di musica». Se sabato sarà dedicato al recupero con briefing tecnico con aperitivo in limonaia nel tardo pomeriggio, domenica gran finale con la prova clou: 23.5km di vero skyrunning con un dislivello positivo di circa 2000m che i migliori atleti supereranno in un tempo prossimo alle due ore: «Sarà spettacolo allo stato puro con tanto di ultima discesa cronometrata che andrà a premiare i corridori più veloci – ha concluso Codogni -. E per chi non se la sentisse di tifare gli skyrunner in quota, al parterre di Lungolago Marconi abbiamo previsto le esibizioni di freestyle, tanta musica e vari passaggi gara su maxischermo». The organizational machine ASD Limone is working on arrangements in view of the full three days of sport and entertainment 11-13 october. For the occasion, the area of Limone, Riva and Ledro will in fact be called to gore the best sky runners of this long season.

The program includes two finals of the Skyrunner ® World Series 2013: Test of Vertical Kilometer in "by night", Friday, followed by Sunday mornings SkyRace of 23.5km. If Saturday is dedicated to the recovery with technical briefing with an aperitif at the Limonaia in the late afternoon, Sundays finale, the test highlights: 23.5km true skyrunning with an elevation gain of about 2000m that exceed the best athletes in a time near to two hours: "It will show in the pure state with a lot of timed final downhills that will reward the fastest runners - concluded Codogni -. And for those who do not feel up to cheer the skyrunner at high altitude, to the parterre of Lakefront Marconi we have planned performances by freestyle, lots of music and various passages of the race on a giant screen.
