Si svolgerà nel fine settimana di sabato 16 e domenica 17 marzo 2013 l'Evento Tre Rifugi: una due giorni di gare di scialpinismo sulle vette del Monregalese. La sessantunesima edizione della 'Tre Rifugi', gara internazionale di scialpinismo (ISMF certified race), quest'anno assegnerà i titoli del Campionato Italiano Top Class o lunghe distanze e sarà tappa della Coppa Italia SkiAlp - Trofeo Scarpa. Per la 'Vertical Mondolè', invece, si tratta di un esordio assoluto: il C.O. ha deciso di proporla agli appassionati per poter avvicinare soprattutto i giovani alla disciplina ma, al contempo, lasciando aperta la possibilità di invertire le date delle due manifestazioni.

«La 'Vertical Mondolè' è in calendario nella giornata di sabato – spiega il direttore tecnico Giorgio Colombo – ma potrà slittare alla domenica se le condizioni meteorologiche saranno avverse. Potremo così decidere se anticipare l'evento principale (la 'Tre Rifugi', ndr) visto che la sua realizzazione risulta logisticamente più impegnativa rispetto alla vertical.»
La vertical individuale, infatti, prevede uno sviluppo interamente nella stazione sciistica di Artesina, consentendo una logistica più agevole ed un facile accesso agli spettatori. La gara rispetterà i minimi parametri federali (400 m Cadetti, 500 m Junior e 700 Senior), garantendo la spettacolarità con passaggi tecnici importanti.

«Le guide alpine Matteo Canova e Sergio Rossi – continua Colombo - controllano costantemente la situazione del manto nevoso che, ad oggi, garantisce il regolare svolgimento delle gare. Nelle prossime settimane potremo dare informazioni più dettagliate e precise in merito. Ci auguriamo dunque che Mondovì e le sue vallate possano ospitare per due giorni il maggior numero possibile di atleti, grazie all'inserimento in un circuito di assoluto rilievo nazionale ed internazionale ed alla presenza di campioni che innalzeranno il tasso tecnico e spettacolare della manifestazione.»
Proseguono le iscrizioni alle gare monregalesi (chiusura il 15 marzo alle ore 12): le prime 150 coppie che si registreranno sul sito www.trerifugi.com potranno gareggiare nella grande classica. Il costo distinto dei due eventi sarà di 80 €/coppia (fino alle ore 24 di mercoledì 13 marzo, poi la quota aumenta a 100 €/coppia) per la Tre Rifugi (ISMF certified race), 15 €/individuali per la vertical. Per le squadre che decidessero di iscriversi ad entrambe le competizioni la quota complessiva sarà di 100 € (120 € dopo il 13 marzo).

The Tre Rifugi will take place on the weekend of March 16 and 17 2013. Two days of ski mountaineering competitions on the peaks of the Monregalese. The 61st Edition of the 'Tre Rifugi international ski mountaineering race (certified ISMF race), will award the Italian championship titles Top Class or long distances and the SkiAlp-Italy Cup - Scarpa Trophy.
As far as the 'Mondolè Vertical', we can say that it is an absolute debut The O.C. decided to propose it to the ski mountaineering addicts mainly to catch the attention of the youngest athletes and, at the same time, leaving open the possibility of reversing the dates of the two events.

«The Mondolè 'Vertical' is scheduled on Saturday March 16th , 2013 - the Technical Director Giorgio Colombo explains – but it could take place Sunday March 17th , 2013 in case of adverse weather conditions. In this way we will be able to decide whether to advance the main event (Tre Rifugi), since this performance is much more challenging on the logistic point of view than the vertical race».
The individual vertical, will take place only in the ski resort of Artesina, allowing a smoother logistics and an easy get to also for the spectators. The race will follow the minimum federal standards (400 m, 500 m Junior Cadets and 700 Senior), guaranteeing spectacular important technical passages.

«Matteo Canova and Sergio Rossi (Alpine Guides) – Colombo says - continuously monitor the snow cover/snowpack situation to ensure a smooth course of the races. In the coming weeks we will be able to give more detailed and precise information on the matter. We hope therefore that Mondovì and its mountains can welcome a great number of athletes. It is an event inserted into a circuit of absolute importance for the national and international ski mountaineering thanks to the presence of champions from all nations that will raise the technical and spectacular level of the competition».
We remember that the registration are open until March 15th 2013 at 12:00 pm): the first 150 pairs who register on the website www.trerifugi.com will be able to compete along the slopes of Marguareis Mountain the great classical path.
The cost of the two events will be: Tre Rifugi 80,00 €/ pairs until 12:00 am of Wednesday, March 13th - then 100 €/ pair (certified ISMF race) Mondole Vertical 15,00 €. For those teams who wish to enroll in both competitions the overall registration fee will be € 100 (120 € after March 13th).
